At its doorstep, the main entrance to Auckland known for its beauty and tranquility is the Hauraki Gulf.

With more than 50 picturesque islands and islets it is located between the Waitemata Harbour and the Coromandel Peninsula. The coastline stretches over 155 miles from north to south.

Beyond the bustling downtown area, the city sprawls out with shorter buildings and wooden houses amongst lush green gardens and lots of pleasant walking trails. In the suburbs you wind your way around picturesque bays and harbors, between the volcanic hills and mountains which include numerous regional parks and even some sheep.
